Covid-19 Update (March 2021)
Clinic is open, in accordance with Statutory Instrument no. 350 ‘The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020’ confirming that it is lawful for a chiropractic practice to remain open during the pandemic.
Obviously working practices have had to be changed and I will be working within the framework set out by the government, Public Health England and my professional association. This means adopting strict cleaning, sanitation and infection control procedures and using personal protective equipment (PPE). All patients requesting an appointment will first be questioned (triaged) over the phone and care managed remotely as much as possible. Face-to-face treatment will be dependant on individual circumstances following discussion between patient and chiropractor.
Although the transmission rate is decreasing and the reproduction number (R) is currently below 1, there is a risk of transmission when attending clinic. Deciding to go ahead with face-to-face care is a serious decision and we must act in the best interests of ourselves and the wider community. Please consider your own personal circumstances before deciding to come for face to face treatment. If you have any concerns please call me to discuss.
Please follow NHS and government guidelines and take good care of youself.
Life's daily challenges puts our bodies through a lot of stress! Aches and pains can be caused by everyday activities, injuries, illness or just simply ‘wear and tear’. Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that focusses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the body, with emphasis on the spine. It is a straight forward manual therapy, aiming to improve joint function and rebalance your body, helping to relieve pain and discomfort, allowing the body to heal naturally.
I use the McTimoney chiropractic technique, which is a gentle and effective approach to whole body health, making it suitable for people of all ages. I check the whole body, from head to toe, and offer self-care advice to facilitate optimal healing and lasting health. I aim to work with you to achieve your health goals – be that a reduction in pain, improved function, or simply feeling happier in your own body. I also work with other professionals to be able to offer a 'best practice' approach to your care, tailored to your needs; this may involve referral for acupuncture, massage, physiotherapy, nutritional advice or exercise, where appropriate.
Chiropractic care may help you with the following:
The gentle nature of the McTimoney method means it can be used during pregnancy, for babies and children and also in later life.
Please call if you wish to discuss any specific condition or general aches and pains and we can talk about how chiropractic may help you.
I am registered with Aviva, Axa PPP, Bupa, Simply Health, Vitality Health and WPA.
